It Is Better To Prepare Than To Repair
“It is better to prepare than to repair” – John C. Maxwell. This statement can find itself in many forms, for example, An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure, A stitch in time saves nine or even, It is better to prepare and prevent than it is to repair and repent, nevertheless the format we can all agree the meaning stands true. The idea this statement is based on is that it is much better to prepare for a possible mishap and therefore prevent it from happening than have it happen and later regret it. Skitterblink wholeheartedly agrees with this statement which is why we structure our cleaning teams around this idea.
We believe if we structure our teams in such a way that every team member is properly trained and prepared for the tasks at hand, we can significantly decrease the number of incidents that would typically have to result in repair. Our teams are therefore structured in a way that plays to each and every team members’ strengths. In his book, The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teamwork, John C. Maxwell says: “Good things happen to a team when a player takes the place where he adds the most value. Great things happen when all the players on the team take the role that maximizes their strengths – their talent, skill and experience.”
