The 10 000 Sit-Up Challenge
Endurance With Purpose — For CERT Centurion
This Christmas, we’re turning grit into giving.
On 25 December 2025, Skitterblink’s very own Iaan van Niekerk — CEO of Skitterblink Franchise Services and proud CERT volunteer — will push himself to the limit by completing 10 000 sit-ups in just 24 hours.
And he’s not doing it alone.
By his side is his 7-year-old son, Sarel, a Grade 1 learner at Laerskool Louis Leipoldt, who will be taking on his very own challenge: 1 500 sit-ups in 24 hours!
It’s not about fitness.
It’s about purpose, community, and helping the heroes who show up when every second counts.
Every cent pledged per sit-up moves CERT Centurion closer to purchasing a fully equipped emergency response vehicle and scene management trailer — giving their volunteers the tools needed to respond faster and save more lives.

About CERT Centurion
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT-SA) is a non-profit organisation rooted in the heart of Centurion and the Vaal. Their volunteers stand ready, day and night, to provide:
- Emergency Medical Assistance
- Firefighting Support
- Rescue Operations
They work alongside existing emergency services to strengthen, support, and extend their reach — always free of charge, always without discrimination, and always with a heart for the community.
CERT believes that help in an emergency should never depend on your financial situation, background, or circumstances. When you call — they come.
